Rainbow CDC admits all children on a non-discriminatory basis without regard to race, color, religion or national origin. Children are accepted on the basis of available space in the specific age group program.
Registrations are taken at the school any time of the year and parents are only allowed to register their own child/children for classes. With the appropriate documentation, foster parents and legal guardians may register a child for classes. To register a child, a registration form along with a non-refundable registration fee of $85.00 must be completed and paid. This fee is required for every year of enrollment and will be billed on the anniversary day of enrollment. An interview is conducted by the Director. After a review of the documentation the child will be admitted. If space is not available, the child’s name may be put on our waiting list.
Before the child attends the first day of their classes, a child information form, immunization record and an emergency information card/pick-up list must be completed.
The Commonwealth of Virginia requires that a completed medical form be on file for all children who attend school. We require that these forms be made available to Rainbow CDC within 30 days of starting classes. These forms are available at doctors’ offices or at http://www.dss.state.va.us/fonn/pdf/cdc medical.pdf. In addition, an emergency care form must also be completed authorizing Rainbow CDC to obtain any emergency care that might be needed. A medical form as well as all pertinent forms is required to be updated/renewed each year.
