Junior Kindergarten / Kindergarten

The Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten Programs provides for children to be taught to develop basic skills through creative play and social interaction. Our Program offers structured classes in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Upon entrance to this Program, a more detailed list of goals and objectives will be provided to the parents/guardians. We follow the Commonwealth of Virginia’s guidelines and require that a child be 5 years old by September 30th to register for kindergarten.

The daily schedule includes, but is not limited to:

• Morning circle
• Story time and music
• Choice time
• Learning centers
• Child and teacher directed activities
• Large motor and gym activities
• Outdoor recreational activities
• Nutritious snacks and lunch
• Rest time
